Ballet/Dance Instructor

American Ballet Academy has an opening for an instructor to start the fall of 2010.  The ideal candidate will have achieved advanced/professional levels of ballet.  We are especially interested in individuals who have studied dance in college, or have an equivalent amount professional training.  The ability to teach other genres of dance is a plus.  Teaching experience is required.

Applicants must be good with people of all ages (3-adult), and be able to adapt to the different dynamics that various age groups and levels will require.  Must be able to attract and maintain the focus of a class, and keep students motivated throughout.  We are seeking a dependable, enthusiastic, patient individual with strong communication skills who can think and critique creatively.

The position will be for about 5-8 classes a week to start, with potential to add more classes as you help the studio continue to grow.  Ideally applicants will be available for job shadow/substitute teaching the summer of 2010, and will start with a regular teaching schedule September 2010, but we are flexible and will work with the right candidate.  Pay is depending on experience.
